God is looking at your heart...

How would you describe your heart? Does it normal or not? Do you take good care of your heart? I ask those questions because me too need to examine my heart. Last Sunday, our church Pastor discuss about the ways on how to guard our heart. It is very important to keep it healthy physically or emotionally. I would like to share to you guys the ways to guard your heart.

1. Be careful of the condition of your heart.
Jeremiah 17:9 -> It says that "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"
Psalm 78:37 ->"their hearts were not loyal to him, they were not faithful to his covenant."
Psalm 51:10 -> "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit from me. "

2. Be certain of the custodian of your heart.
Galatians 5:22-23 -> "But The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control. Against such things there is no law."

3. Be cautious of the contents of your heart.
Philippians 2:8 -> "Think of good things."
Psalm 119:11 -> "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."
Joshua 1:8 -> "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."

Matthew 15:18,19
"But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean'. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander "

4. Be committed to communing with your heart.
Psalm 4:4 -> "In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent."
Psalm 77:6 -> "I remembered my songs in the night. My heart mused and my spirit inquired."
Psalm 63:6 -> "On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night."

Psalm 138: 23,24

Search me. O God , and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

YOU are

This is my favorite christian song...

Chorus 1:
You are the love of my life
You are the hope that I cling to
You mean more than this world to me
I wouldn't trade you for silver or gold
I wouldn't trade you for riches untold.
You are, you are my everything

I wouldn't take one step without you
I could never go on.
I couldn't breathe on breath without you.
I don't have the strength
To make it on my own

Chorus 2:

Until the world stops turning
Until the stars fade, from the sky
Until the sun stops striving
I need you in my life and here's the reason why!

Four Key Elements of Effectual Prayer-- Power of Prayer

Prayer is the most important in everything that we do. It is the act of addressing to God what we want to say to HIM. May it be you ask for forgiveness, thanksgiving, blessings, guidance. providence and a lot more. We are all witness of how effective is the prayer.

Here are the four key elements of effectual prayer...

1. Desire or ask when you pray...
Desire is the starting point. The word "desire" means to ask, beg, crave, call for or require. We get something from God when we have a heart-felt desire to have it. He wants us to have our desires.

Psalms 37:4

"Delight yourself in the LORD and He will give you the desires of your heart".

2. Believe when you pray...
The word "believe" here means to think to be true; to be persuaded of; to credit and to trust in Jesus or God as able to aid either in obtaining or in doing something. It is also a mere acknowledgment of some fact or event.

Mark 9:23-24

"If you can ?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes". Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!".

3. Receive when you pray...
Receive means to take with the hand , lay hold of or to take up a thing to be carried.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

4. Forgive when you pray...
We must always keep in mind the importance of asking the father to not only forgive us of our sins, but also to forgive those who sinned against us.

Jesus has promised to answer our prayers on the recognize premise that petitions must be in harmony with God's will. This enables faith to receive the answers God gives.
